About Us

SGT KNOTS is a direct-to-consumer brand that eliminates intermediaries to pass savings directly to you. Founded by Mike Shelley, our CEO, SGT KNOTS began as a class project during his MBA program where he made and sold paracord bracelets. Over time, we have grown from these modest beginnings into a major distributor of various types of rope and cordage. Our headquarters is located in Statesville, NC, about an hour north of Charlotte.

Exceptional Elasticity The Dacron Polyester shock cord maintains its elasticity longer than other types of bungee or shock cords. It won’t wear out and consistently returns to its original shape, no matter the tension or stretching.
